WANTED - CARERS EXPRESS PROJECT LEAD

DreamArts fuses arts and therapeutic practice to support wellbeing. Our flagship CARERS EXPRESS project supports 7-19 year olds who provide emotional and practical support for a loved one.

We’re seeking an inspiring Project Lead to engage young carers in activities that enable them to thrive. You will be responsible for producing and delivering activities for the Juniors (7-11) and Seniors (12-18) Carers Express cohort. Activities will support young people to use creativity to explore and extend meaning to the challenges they face, build a sense of belonging with peers sharing their experience and be supported with their emotional wellbeing.

This will include projects in school holidays, residentials (e.g. attending the UK Young Carers Festival) and phases of evening/weekend workshops. You will act as lead facilitator and will be supported by a freelance Wellbeing Practitioner. You will also manage a caseload of young carers aged 11-16 who are newly identified and/or experiencing key transitions e.g. primary to secondary school. The role is 1.5 days per week directly employed and is a 2-year contract with options to extend subject to funding.

In in last year’s staff satisfaction survey 100% of team members felt inspired at DreamArts to do their best at their job, and 100% said that their voice and skills matter at DreamArts.

WANTED - DREAMARTS REP COMPANY DIGITAL CREATOR

DreamArts fuses arts and therapeutic practice to support wellbeing. Our acclaimed DREAMARTS REP COMPANY engages 14-25 year olds from refugee backgrounds to explore and unleash their talents by devising and touring original fictional productions that fuse theatre, film and rap.

We’re seeking an inspiring digital creator to turn our live work into a powerful digital presence. The role is 1.5 days per week for a 6-month contract with options to extend.

You will be embedded in the Rep Company across rehearsals and tours, capturing the process, the people and the performances, transforming them into high-impact content that builds audiences, fills theatres and grows a loyal online community around our artists.

This is a hands-on, creative and strategic role for someone who lives and breathes:

– short and long-form video

-cinematic storytelling

-social growth

– youth-led content

Our 2025 tour reached over 1,000 live audience members, 20,000+ online viewers & 150 workshop participants. Partner theatres include York Theatre Royal, Birmingham Rep, The Crucible, Exeter Northcott & Marylebone Theatre.
